Power off, discharge below 25%, remove the SIM tray, ESD protection. Use even, controlled heat on the LCD.
Opening the Vivo Y02
- Heat the rear cover to soften adhesive.
- Lift the back cover with a suction cup and pick around the edges.
- Disconnect the antenna flex.
- Remove shields and disconnect the battery first.
Display Replacement
The LCD + digitizer is supplied as a glass-with-frame assembly. Seat with fresh adhesive and verify touch. There is no fingerprint to configure.
Battery Replacement
Disconnect the battery connector and ease out the adhesive pull-tabs (or apply isopropyl alcohol). Fit without bending and re-seal.
Charging Port (Micro-USB) Repair
The micro-USB port is on a lower daughterboard. A worn or loose micro-USB port is the most common Y02 fault — clean first, then replace the sub-board.
Rear Panel Replacement
The plastic rear panel is adhesive-mounted — heated, lifted and re-adhered.
Water Damage
Power off, don’t charge, act fast. Open, disconnect the battery, ultrasonically clean the board.
