Opening the Xiaomi 12
- Heat the rear cover to soften adhesive.
- Lift the back cover with a suction cup and pick around the edges.
- Disconnect the wireless-charging coil and antenna flex.
- Remove shields and disconnect the battery first.
Display Replacement
The AMOLED + digitizer (with the in-display fingerprint) is a fused, frame-bonded assembly; most repairs use a display-with-frame service part. Seat with fresh adhesive and verify touch and 120Hz.
Fingerprint Calibration
After any display replacement the in-display optical fingerprint sensor must be re-calibrated. The sensor sits under the AMOLED, so a new panel changes the optical path — we run the Xiaomi calibration routine to align the sensor to the new screen, then re-enrol fingerprints. Without calibration, unlocks become slow or fail, so this step is included in every Xiaomi 12 screen repair.
Battery Replacement
Disconnect the battery connector and ease out the adhesive pull-tabs (or apply isopropyl alcohol). Fit the replacement without bending and re-seal.

Rear Panel Replacement
The glass rear panel is adhesive-mounted over the wireless coil — heated, lifted and re-adhered.
