Opening the iPhone 17 Pro Max
With the aluminium unibody, primary service access is through the front display. Remove the two pentalobe screws, heat the edges, lift the OLED from the bottom, hinging open on the right. Disconnect the battery first. The rear MagSafe glass insert is serviced separately.
Display Replacement
Use a ProMotion-capable OLED and transfer the original Face ID/front sensor flex to retain Face ID, Always-On and 120Hz. Minimal heat, renew adhesive, verify True Tone, HDR, 120Hz and touch.
Battery Replacement
