Opening the OnePlus 10R
- Heat the rear cover to soften adhesive.
- Lift the plastic back with a suction cup and pick around the edges.
- Disconnect the NFC/antenna flex.
- Remove shields and disconnect the battery first.
Display Replacement
The Fluid AMOLED + digitizer (with the in-display fingerprint) is a fused assembly; repairs use a display-with-frame service part. Seat with fresh adhesive and verify touch and 120Hz.
Fingerprint Calibration
After any display replacement the in-display optical fingerprint sensor must be re-calibrated. The sensor sits under the AMOLED, so a new panel changes the optical path — we run the OnePlus calibration routine to align the sensor to the new screen, then re-enrol fingerprints. Without calibration, unlocks become slow or fail, so this step is included in every 10R screen repair.
Battery Replacement
The 10R uses a dual-cell battery for fast charging. Disconnect the battery connector and ease out the adhesive pull-tabs (or apply isopropyl alcohol). Use genuine-grade cells, especially on the 150W edition. Fit without bending and re-seal.
Charging Port (USB-C) Repair
The USB-C port is on a lower daughterboard. Clean first; replace the sub-board if charging fails.
Rear Cover Replacement
The plastic back is adhesive-mounted — heated, lifted and re-adhered. Inexpensive.
Water Damage
Power off, don’t charge, act fast. Open, disconnect the battery, ultrasonically clean the board.
