Tools Required
Phillips and Torx drivers, plastic picks and opening tools, suction cup, controlled heat, tweezers, SIM tool. Workshop: hot-air station, isopropyl alcohol, display/back-cover adhesive.
Safety First
Power off, discharge below 25%, remove the SIM tray, ESD protection. Use even, controlled heat on the AMOLED.
Opening the OnePlus 10T
- Heat the rear glass to soften adhesive.
- Lift the back cover with a suction cup and pick around the edges.
- Disconnect the NFC/antenna flex.
- Remove shields and disconnect the battery first.
Display Replacement
The Fluid AMOLED + digitizer (with the in-display fingerprint) is a fused assembly; repairs use a display-with-frame service part. Seat with fresh adhesive and verify touch and 120Hz.
Fingerprint Calibration
After any display replacement the in-display optical fingerprint sensor must be re-calibrated. The sensor sits under the AMOLED, so a new panel changes the optical path — we run the OnePlus calibration routine to align the sensor to the new screen, then re-enrol fingerprints. Without calibration, unlocks become slow or fail, so this step is included in every 10T screen repair.
Battery Replacement
The 10T uses a dual-cell battery for 150W charging. Disconnect the battery connector and ease out the adhesive pull-tabs (or apply isopropyl alcohol). Use genuine-grade cells to preserve safe 150W charging. Fit without bending and re-seal.
Charging Port (USB-C) Repair
The USB-C port is on a lower daughterboard. Clean first; replace the sub-board if 150W charging fails.
Rear Glass Replacement
The glass back is adhesive-mounted — heated, lifted and re-adhered.
Water Damage
Power off, don’t charge, act fast. Open, disconnect the battery, ultrasonically clean the board.
