Opening the OnePlus 9 Pro
- Heat the rear glass to soften adhesive.
- Lift the back cover with a suction cup and pick around the edges.
- Disconnect the wireless-charging/NFC flex.
- Remove shields and disconnect the battery first.
Display Replacement
The curved LTPO Fluid2 AMOLED + digitizer (with the in-display fingerprint) is a fused, frame-bonded assembly; most repairs use a display-with-frame service part. Seat with fresh adhesive and verify touch and 120Hz.
Fingerprint Calibration
After any display replacement the in-display optical fingerprint sensor must be re-calibrated. We run the OnePlus calibration routine to align the sensor to the new curved panel, then re-enrol fingerprints. Skipping calibration causes slow or failed unlocks, so it is included in every 9 Pro screen repair.
Battery Replacement
The 9 Pro uses a dual-cell battery for 65W charging. Disconnect the battery connector and ease out the adhesive pull-tabs (or apply isopropyl alcohol). Use genuine-grade cells. Fit without bending and re-seal with fresh gaskets.
Charging Port (USB-C) Repair
The USB-C port is on a lower daughterboard. Clean first; replace the sub-board if charging fails.
Rear Glass Replacement
The glass back is adhesive-mounted — heated, lifted and re-adhered with a fresh seal, protecting the wireless-charging coil.
